He has received numerous honors and awards including<br />the prestigious MacArthur Foundation Prize Fellow (or &ldquo\;Genius&rdquo\;) Award.</p>
 <p>&bull\; Cedric Herring\, professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago<br />and a member of the Institute of Government and Public Affairs. A former president of the Association&nbsp\;of Black Sociologists\, he founded the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy at UIC.</p>
 <p>&bull\; Victor Kamber\, president of Coalition Services for the Carmen Group Communication\, prodigious<br />writer and respected political consultant and commentator.
